God's Plan of Salvation
If you were to die today, where would you spend eternity?
If you found yourself standing before God and He asked, "Why should I let you into my Heaven?" What would you say?
Consider this:
- You must understand that God is the Creator, He is love and He is Holy.
Hebrews 11:2 "By faith we understand that the universe was created by the
word of God, so that what is seen has been made from things that
are not visible."
John 3:16 "For God loved the World in this way: He gave His one and only
son,so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have
eternal life."
- God created everything.
- God loves you.
- God is Holy (set apart). He is perfect and without sin.
- It is because God is Holy that He cannot look at sin. What is sin? Sin is anything we think, say or do that breaks God's heart or disobeys word.
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
- No one is perfect. We've all sinned.
- There is a payment for sin.
Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death."
3. Because of our sin we deserve spiritual death in hell.
Romans 6:23b "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord."
4. The gift of God is eternal life.
- While you deserve death and eternal separation from God, God has provided a way for you to spend eternity in Heaven! God offers you the gift of eternal life!
- God's Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross, was buried in a borrowed tomb and rose again on the 3rd day-defeating death and making it possible for you to have a relationship with God!
Hebrews 9:22 "According to the law almost everything is purified with blood and
without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
I Corinthians 15:3-4
"For I passed on to you as most important what I received: that
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was
buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the
scriptures."
Romans 5:8 "But God proves His own love for us, in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us."
2. He paid a debt that He did not owe because you owe a debt that you cannot pay.
- Would you like to accept God's gift of eternal life right now?
Romans 10:13 "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will
be saved."
Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in
your heart that God has raised Him from dead, you will be
saved."
Call on the name of the Lord and confessing your belief in Him.
- Admit and Repent (turn away from) of your sin.
Luke 5:32 "I (Jesus) have not come to call the righteous, but sinners
to repentance."
If you're ready to call on the name of the Lord, from your heart please pray these words: "Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I repent of my sin ask you to please forgive me of my sin. I ask you into my life! From this day forward I'm going to live for you. Thank you for saving me. Amen."
